About Karl Brockman

I’m Karl — and I came to business brokering through an unusual path. Before joining Good Shepherd, I spent years inside the world of SMBs: coaching founders through their hardest decisions, helping leadership teams find clarity in complexity, and sitting in the room when the stakes were highest. I’ve seen firsthand what it costs a business owner to get this decision wrong, and what it looks like when they get it right.

I’m also someone who has previously built a business of my own. So, when you tell me about the blood, sweat, and sleepless nights that went into what you’ve created, I’m not just nodding politely. I genuinely get it.

My background spans corporate sales leadership at Vita Group (where I led record-breaking teams across Australia), national learning and development, and years of executive coaching with business owners across the Sunshine Coast and beyond. I know what a strong business looks like from the inside, and I know how to position it compellingly to the right buyer.

Now, as a new dad to a beautiful 18-month-old, I’ve never been more motivated to do work that matters. Helping someone sell their life’s work and step confidently into what’s next? That matters.
